Making a difference to our local community

Below we have started to identify businesses, in the Streatham Hill and High Road area, who can assist with your desire to reduce your plastic consumption.  Also those who are actively  eco-conscious and are trying to connect with you as customers. This directory is for them and for you. If you wish to add your business or know of one which needs to be added here, please contact us and give us the details.

We also intend to list businesses who have signed up to our PLASTIC FREE STREATHAM PLEDGE. These will be businesses who have pledged to eliminate SINGLE USE PLASTIC items such as plastic carrier bags, straws, plastic stirrers, cups etc.  Watch this space!

We are making our way to all establishments on the High Road so if you don't see your favourite Eco friendly cafe/bar here please give us time to get to them or get in touch and tell us.

Batch & Co Coffee  - 54 Streatham Hill (near the bus station, opposite). Jen Batchelor is truly committed to the eco cause. The cups are biodegradable, they have paper straws for takeaway and metal straws for drinks consumed in the cafe. She uses local, eco friendly suppliers where possible.  A discount of 10p is given if you are using your own cup. Re-usable cups are on sale here. The coffee waste from the cafe is taken by First Mile converted for renewable energy and nutrient rich fertiliser.  Even the furniture/fixtures and fittings are made from recycled materials.
